ROLE Project Strategy
Love from the motherland tells the story of two continents using music as a medium. The project is Clout Africa’s first adventure into creating its own original musical body of work. Haitian-American duo Dro x Yani took a bet on Afrobeats in making the LOVE FROM THE MOTHERLAND.

A New SoundAfrobeats To The World
LOVE FROM THE MOTHERLAND is where the Anglophone meets the Francophone. With a cocktail of African sounds ranging from afrobeats to amapiano, the EP features industry greats from Africa to the United States such as Afrobeat super star Davido, Ice prince and American music icon DJ Khaled. Dro x Yani made their way across the globe to make their home in the Clout Africa studio for almost three months.
Afro-fusion Immersed in Culture
In creating the strategy for the project in it self, it was necessary to be able to sell the aristes themselves to the market by immersing them into the culture. Meeting with industry stakeholders was key to not just the music but their experience coming to Africa. It was crucial that their experience during their time here reflected in the tone of project. This fresh perspective is seen evident in the project itself and it’s reception from audiences on both sides of the aisle.
